The Richmond Folk Festival is back and better than ever! After holding a virtual event in 2020, the festival returns to its place on the riverfront for an in-person event in October 2021. As always, you will be treated to live performances from a diverse, international collection of bands in a fun festival atmosphere with activities for all ages to enjoy. The highlight of the Richmond Folk Festival, as always, is the amazing lineup of artists set to perform. There will be six performance stages located throughout the riverfront area, with performances happening all day throughout each of the event's three days. The first group of artists announced for the festival includes Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper, the Nava Persian Trio, Joanie Madden & Cherish the Ladies, Plena Es, Rare Essence, and Sean Jones. In addition to the live music, there will also be dance performances that highlight cultures from around the world.

Fantastic Food and So Much More at the Marketplace

It's not just great music that makes the Richmond Folk Festival such a must-visit event. The Marketplace is where you'll find food from some of the best food vendors from Richmond and beyond, all in one place. Sample a unique selection of multi-cultural cuisine, and be sure to save room for dessert! In the Marketplace, you will also be able to shop from a selection of artisans offering unique gift items, clothing, home décor, and crafts of all kinds. The Richmond Folk Festival is geared toward families and visitors of all ages, with a wide variety of fun activities available in the play area for kids.
